About the Author: 

Renee Rose is an author of erotic romance. She received a Bachelor's of Arts in Creative Writing from Knox College, where she was trained to write poetry and literary fiction and was the recipient of the Lorraine Smith prize for short fiction. 

Upon graduation, she took a gig writing instruction manuals (yawn!) and sales and marketing copy for an engineering firm. After thirteen years numbing her mind and allowing her creative juices to evaporate, she read her first romance novel and was hooked.

This book is well written and was a good story. I would recommend this book and would read it again. The reason why I gave it 3 stars you ask? Well it had too much spanking and not enough sex. I love spanking and sex but I felt that this was just spanking and didnt have an equal amount of sex and intimacy. A girl needs both! I love Dom and Kate together, I thought they made the perfect couple, however Dom had me wanting to beat him with the way he kept playing cat & mouse with Kate off and on throughout the book. I love Dominance/Submissive roles in the bedroom but I felt at certain times through the book Dom went overboard to where it irked me and I just wanted to punch him. I still love Dom though! He is the perfect bad boy with the good boy charm.:) Sweet, Loyal, protective, and charming all piled together with the bad boy edge sets me off in swoon land. I liked Kate however there were times that I wanted to slap her and tell her to grow a pair. Their were times throughout the book that she couldn't hold her own and relied on Dom too much to rescue her. She also was whiny at times during the book. Kate does learn to grow a pair throughout the book though and I found myself applauding her as she learned to grow independently. Fox was the perfect best friend. He was always there when Kate needed him and was protective but yet gave the space that Kate needed as well. He reminded me of my bestie and is my fave character in the book, followed by Dom of course!:) Stella in the beginning came off as snarky bitch that needed her ass kicked with the comments that she said but towards the end she grew on me and she really cared for Dom and Kate. Roxanne is your typical PMS'ing bitch trying to take over the world who always ends up failing. The ending is happy ever after and they are all fine living there lives but its not the happy ever after where your saying "of course, I saw this coming", its actually a very nice well done ending with a very surprising twist in the end that you will just have to read to see what I mean. If you need a book that is entertaining and if you get off on spanking and BDSM then this is the book for you and I will definitely be reading this again.
