What is one book that you would be nervous to see a movie adaption of because you think the movie could never live up to the book?

That would be the Anita Blake Series by Laurell K. Hamilton. I would love to see this be made into a movie or even a television series but I dont think Hollywood could make it as good or even close to being as good as Laurell K. Hamilton has wrote the series. Many times Hollywood messes up or doesnt stick with the books/series with movies.

Anita Blake!!! GREAT GREAT decision. I heard Laurell K Hamilton talk not too long ago at an author talk and she said she'd have a hard time seeing it translated into film or into a tv show - so hopefully they'll leave her alone :)

True, Hollywood doesn't always stick to the story. I think it's because no one on the crew has actually READ IT!
